You and Yitz have brought the last present down to Papa's office to use as a base of operations.
When you open the box, you see that, somehow, Papa has managed to stuff a paperback version of the first Harry Potter book into the box. Underneath is the map from last year's hunt.

The book, somewhat worse for wear, is the American version and is titled "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" instead of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" but you do prefer the American artwork.
(link:"Look for a letter...")[=\
You look through the box, flip through the book, open up the map, but there isn't any letter. Usually there is a letter that says what is going on, what you need to do, but it is just the book and the map.
(link:"Look through the map thoroughly...")[=\
Yitz has never seen the map in person, so you go through and show it to him. It takes a bit to get the hang of it again, you had forgotten how many pages there are. This new map has all of the rooms of the house and even some closets have labels. Folding and unfolding to get the different sections right is also a bit tricky. Papa points out to Yitz how the rooms all have Harry Potter place names. Papa's office for example is labeled "Headmaster's Office", the bar is "Potions" and the bookshelf door up the stairs is "The Restricted Section" - but there is no letter in the map.

Against the right wall is, going from farthest to closest:
a) one of those 1980's component stereo dealies, with a table lamp on it. Not quite old enough to be vintage, it is what is semi-barricading the bookshelf across from you.
b) a wooden cabinet with one of those roll-a-doors that slide in. On top is the large chess board holding the pieces your Mama made for your Papa.
c) your old desk, which you always hated. The top is glass, which allows you to see that there are a bunch of old books crammed in the drawer underneath, but it makes a rotten surface to write on and you always felt that it would shatter at a moment's notice, shredding you into a zillion pieces. Next to it is a floor lamp, and then you get to the three, stuffed bookshelves to your right.

($linkPersist:"e) The cabinet, which you know to be stuffed with puzzles but maybe there is room for a book inside?",[You force, with some difficulty, the doors to roll back into the sides of the cabinets. Lots of puzzles. Way too many puzzles. No books.])
